About Me

My background
While I was born in Germany and have an Austrian father, I predominately grew up in Czech Republic.
I went to school in Brno, the second (but better) biggest city in the country, and following a few years of university studying Law for Real estate, I succumbed to the travel bug in my early twenties.
I have lived and worked in hospitality in Spain, Switzerland and Portugal before starting a career at American Express in Brighton in 2012 and settling down for the next decade in the UK.
I have progressed from the front lines of customer support through Project Analyst roles to a Senior Project Management position in the area of Contact Centre Capabilities.

Recent years
During the turmoil that has been Covid I, like many others, have gone through a number of life-altering events. I secured a new role at The Chinese Room, a video game studio, working on a high-profile game. While the two years I spent in a brand new industry surrounded by creative people have been an invaluable experience, it allowed me to consider what more there is to life than working Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.
With borders opening up again, I decided to fulfil my life-long dream of travelling to New Zealand on Working Holiday Visa. Due to age restrictions, it was a now or never situation, and as daunting it seemed at first, I have been able to make it happen and left the UK on 15th September 2023.

This is me
I consider myself a Jane of all trades, but sadly master of nothing at all. I have a vide variety of interests and get easily excited about anything new.
As most things I do are self-taught, and I’m a natural perfectionist in recovery, I have a tendency to suffer from imposter syndrome.
My personality and interests seem to be full of paradoxes, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
